A life settlement transaction entails the sale of an in-force life insurance policy to a third party for a value in excess of the contract's cash surrender value, but less than its death benefit, net of expected premiums to be paid. Investors pay a policy owner a lump sum value reflective of the policy's net present value of expected future cash flows, and then make premium payments to keep the policy in force. The investor becomes the owner and beneficiary of the policy and realizes its benefits at the death of the insured individual.
Through our D3G Asset Management affiliate, we offer the Life Asset Management Program which provides an advisory service to high net worth, corporate, and institutional clients which manages existing life insurance products as a valuable asset. D3G employs its extensive knowledge base in the life insurance product which in combination with state of the art, proprietary analytical models offers considerable value to the client.
